Prompt: In “The Significance of Ethics and Ethics Education in Daily Life (Links to an external site.),” I discuss what I call the “everyday ethicist,” or, the ways in which ethics is relevant to all of us in one way or another, from young children to adults and professionals. And, in my Ethicist’s Corner podcast episode with Dr. Mary Gentile (Links to an external site.), Dr. Gentile discusses the importance of “voicing our values” and developing an ethical identity.
In your discussion, discuss your current understanding of ethics. Based on your current understanding, what is ethics? And in what ways, if any, do you think ethics is relevant to life as a future professional. In your discussion of ethics, be sure to directly reference at least two comments and/or supporting points, one from my TEDxTalk and one from the Ethicist’s Corner podcast with Dr. Gentile.
