The Case Study is about the following:
In this case study we meet Natalie Kazakova, a Russian student who was a post-graduate student and graduated college with a master’s degree in nursing, was the subject of this week’s case study. Natalie found a nursing job in the intensive care unit at a nearby community hospital. Back in Russia, she had earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Her only prior experience suggested that she had worked as a nurse in the medical area. She began to have problems a few weeks after starting work in the ICU unit. Some of the most prominent ones were self-doubt and insecurities. Her coworkers had a combined experience of ten years. As a result, the conflicts were between her and her coworker, who had a great deal of expertise. The nursing association is the only thing they had in common, and it was difficult for them both to work together because one of her coworkers looked down on her. Susan and Pam, two of her coworkers, have been pestering her and raising questions about her schooling. “I thought you had a master’s degree in nursing?” was one of the inquiries. She was also questioned about what they learnt at university and why she understood nothing about nursing. Several explanations can be used to describe Natalie’s condition in this case study. Role theory, social exchange theory, and conflict theory are examples of these models.
