Throughout this semester, you are expected to keep a journal of your reaction, thoughts, and criticisms of the course material. You are required to write an entry for only 10 of the readings covered in class. Each journal entry should be at least 300 words long. these entries are open-ended so that you may write on whatever you would like, as long as what you say directly connects with the course material. On the other hand, I would like you to think deeply about these issues and support your responses. As a result, do not simply say “I thought the reading was interesting. I thought the debate was interesting. I learned a lot” multiple times throughout your journal, without providing detailed support. Instead, refer to direct concepts and ideas, and/or reflect on the ways that the section may have affected the way you think about yourself or the world around you. Here are some possible questions you might explore:
What interesting thing did you gain from this specific reading? What criticisms do you have about this specific reading? (be sure to defend your answer);
